Reed Reinke: My name is Reed Reinke. I attend Austin Community College with the intention of transferring to the University of Texas. I am taking government this semester in order to further my knowledge about the sovereign government of the United States of America. I would like to be a knowledgeable American politically. I have no current political experiences or influences. Political Ideology quiz: Generally young, well-educated and financially comfortable, the Next Generation Left have very liberal attitudes on many issues, including homosexuality, abortion, the environment and foreign policy. While overall supportive of an activist government, most are wary of expanding the social safety net. Most also have relatively positive views of Wall Street’s impact on the economy. While most affiliate with the Democratic Party or lean Democratic, few consider themselves strong Democrats. Civic Literacy quiz: Answered 9 out of 10 correctly. Ranking: Philosopher-King. In ancient Greece, this was Plato’s ideal ruler in The Republic; combines both wisdom and power. Current Event quiz: Answered 11 of 12 questions correctly. Scored better than 77% of the population, below 10% and the same as 13%.
